I heard that a snake can be as small as 5 feet to eat a child. Is this true? How long/big could it be to eat a grown human? Again, I'm sorry if this question seems out of the ordinary.

A 5 ft snake can swallow something about the size of a mouse or a bit bigger (a rat) depending on the snake's girth. I believe a snake is not able to actually eat a small child until it's about 20 ft (correct me if I'm wrong). It's true that it's not safe to leave a child unsupervised with any large snake, but most you would keep as pets would never get large enough to inflict much damage.

It could happen... but if you're watching the situation there's no danger. You can easily pry a 5 foot snake off something (someone) with your hands. There's a big difference, though, between boas and pythons and smaller snakes. A 5 foot python will be more dangerous than a 5 foot rat snake. Pythons become dangerous to adults around 10 or 12 feet.
But a snake would have to be HUGE to eat a kid. I'd say 15 feet.

The only snakes that could possibly swallow a child would be a hudge 20fter, burm, rock, retic, anaconda, dut they don't even consider people as prey. A 5ft snake around a child's neck tighting up to hold on from falling could be concern. I dont't even allow my larger kings and balls around my kids necks.
