silly question

when people write the pets they have in their signature...what is the 0.0.1 or 0.2.0 action about??? I have tried and tried to figure this one out and to no avail...they say the only stupid question is the one you don't ask...sadly, i think i found the exception to the rule

it is males, females and unknown. So if you have a male and two females you have 1.2 RES.
