constantly
They mostlikely will not breed constantly. The "house geckos" I keep/breed are; Hemidactylus frenatus, Hemidactylus mabouia, and Cosymbotus platyurus. I keep them in pairs or trios. When I don't want them to breed (when I have a ton on hand and since not many people to have much regard for $5 geckos), I just keep them at room temperature and mist the enclosure once every evening and feed them every other day. To get them to breed, just raise the warmest zone of the enclosure to around 83 and mist morning and evening and feed everyday. This is what I do with most of the geckos, just rotate them in and out of seasons. Always make sure there are atleast a few good hiding places for each gecko (well the female). Are you sure yours are the same species, and are male and female? The female will lay the eggs on top of the substrate and will lay 1 to 2 eggs (depending on her health and previous experience) every two weeks until the temperature drops. I have had smaller females lay an egg a week. For most "house geckos," the eggs take almost exactly a month and a half to hatch at 84F and 60% humidity (not too moist).
O no I don't have any house geckos I was just wonderning.thanks for the info tho.
interesting info.
I was wandering if that also applies to golden geckos. Is it considered a house gecko as well?
