i gave you advice and it wasn't what you wanted to hear. thats too bad. did you not pay any attention to the website i gave you? i would have to say insufficient knowledge is the number one killer of herptiles.

the truth hurts but if you have to ask what can be mixed then you don't know enough

First, Why do you really want to house creatures together?

Do not house skinks with salamanders. Some require much higher temps (up to 100F). If you want Skinks, ask the skink forum.

What king of Tree frogs are you getting?

Are you quarantining all of them first?

Do you have UVB lighting for the Green anole?

Pet store's are not a good source of information. Most just want you to buy the product, and will say anything to make you belive it is a good choice.

Is your aquarium ventilated? Is the lid tight fitting?

Have you ever tried cleaning a aquarium of that size? It isn't one that can be put into the sink and washed. And you'll have to carry it where is has to be washed. Try picking it up by yourself before consering it.
You will also have to keep up with maintenance, changing the water often, spot cleaning, misting daily, so on.
You can also not use tap water.

The creatures you mentioned come from different area's in the world.
Fire salamanders are from Europe. Green Anoles and Tiger Salamanders are from the U.S.
Mixing species from different parts of the world is a bad idea.
I do not agree with species mixing. You really shouldn't be mixing any species, even if they come from the same area.
It can also be very stressful on the animals.
If you insist on doing this, please do more research.

Another thing you should think about is how are you going to feed all of them? You may have to buy different size crickets, and more than one type of food. How are you going to know if one animal stops eating? How will you keep them from eating too much and becoming overweight? What about the one that gets no food because its snatched up before it can get too it? Do you really want to buy 100 crickets every week? (thats just a quick approximation)

What happens if you end up with a male and female of one of the species?

Think of why you want to do this to begin with. Is it just something that will look "cool" in your house? Something to show off to your friends?
Most aren't big handeling animals.

When you decide on an animal, research it for at least a month. It seems to me you're jumping from one "Big Idea" to the next. Are you sure you really want these? Are you going to become bored with them after a few weeks?

Ok, I think I'm done ranting. Ask yourself these questions. I hope you change your mind.

Thanks for the advice....
i understand how big a tank a 77 gallon and the resposiability of it..But the bigger the tank the better for what i'm getting..

The Tiger Salamanders and Anoles both eat the same food and require the same lighting UVB floursecent and require the same temptures...i can't think of anyhting that will go better together...Any ideas???

Now, how big will the tiger salamanders get?? I cant find that info anywhere...

ANy help is much appreciated,, even if you dont agree with my idea...Nothing is in stone yet...

Thanks
Glenn

PS if anyone has experience with these two animals..any advice of what to put in tnak..eg....what kind of tree, hiding spaces, soil, etc

Do your research.
I did a simple search on google, typed in "Tiger salamander care sheet", clicked on the first anwser, and it had the maximum size.

Put a little more effort into this if you really want to do this to the creatures.

Hi Glenn,

I think it would be difficult to accomidate both salamanders and anoles in the same cage because of their preffered temperature difference. Both fire salamanders and tiger salamanders need to be kept cool, never above the low 70's and idealy around 65F during the day with a drop in temperature at night. Anoles do best when kept in the high 70's with a basking spot that reaches the mid 90's. Providing a temperature gradient from the low 60's to the mid 90's would be difficult, if not impossible, to do safely in a tank. Good luck,

Just a reminder if you place the tiger salamanders in with the other animals the sallies will eat the anoles and the Tree Frogs
