Have you seen Catmanhu?

CATMANHU Jun 05, 2004 02:52 PM

My husband Cory who goes by the handle Catmanhu on this site, has been out there looking for alterna since Tuesday, June 1. I haven't heard from him since 8 p.m. that evening, and am getting concerned. Last we spoke, he was on Hwy 90 near Van Horn, heading towards Del Rio. He's driving a white Subaru wagon with a deer skull with antlers on front fender. He may be in Del Rio area, River Road, Pandale dirt, Big Bend, etc. He intended to camp. If anyone's seen him, would apreciate a quick note just so I know he's OK. Thanks all.

Hello. Has Cory been this long before he contacted you before? I spoke with him via email a couple weeks ago and he mentioned coming to Texas after he went to Arizona to visit his brother. I can understand your concern though. Keep posting here to let us know when you hear from him.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

I only hit 277 for one pass last night hunting mostly around rock springs, camp wood and leaky. If your hubby was out there, I didn't see him.

Thanks for checking. I appreciate it. I'm hoping he's just caught up in the moment, and will eventually remember to check in. I'll post it here if I hear from him. Thanks again.

If he's using a cell phone, there's no service in study butte Terlingua, lajitas or anywhere else in that area (last time I was there).

Just heard from Cory. He's safe and in transit, and his cell phone is indeed down. Apparently he called my work Friday 15 minutes after I left, but I never thought to check there. Thanks to all for your help, everything is fine.

Glad he is safe!

He hasn't found any yet, but he is still looking! He has found a couple other types, but is still pursuing the elusive grayband. Thanks,
Carol
