THanks for that input Dan. I had thought of that and well... Here's my thoughts.
Americans are getting broad band in larger and larger numbers. No offense 56K surfers, but this site and any web work I do is made for broadband. I work in 3d for a living so I really do not like to compromise on resolution and image quality.
the more resolution the better!
As far as 800X600 enough of us are running at 1024X768 and up that it shouldnt be that big of a deal. I would probably make a duplicate site reformated smaller. Anyone with a decent computer runnig less than 1024X768 is probably doing so for vision reasons, wich is understandable.
I do plan to break it up a little so it isnt all ONE image, but again, I think its time for the internet to push forrward a bit and force people to go broadband.
As far as having images turned off, well there would still be a black background with the links on top, but... why cruise a snake site and not be able to look at them!!!
The site is about the boas, so i want to make them feel like the stars of the show
I really do appreciate the feedback though. I am not well versed in web construction yet and this will be a learning process for me. And while I do believe in efficiancy, and not making things heavier and slower than they ought to be, with a cable modem or DSL connection the page pops right up.
I do know that not everyone can afford broad band or even has it available in their area, but those numbers are getting smaller and smaller as broadband becomes more affordable and reaches more and more areas every year.
Thanks Again!
