Colored Transparents ever seen them!! NOT MY DRAGONS!!

alphadragon Jun 05, 2004 05:47 PM

My buddy asked me to post these. I told him that there was some questions about transparents. They have been in the states for 2-3 years. My buddy at reptile rendezvous told me he had colored transparents and when he showed me the pics and I saw them I was like holy s#%t. Again these are not mine and I have cleared it with Kevin to post these pics.

Woah... my beardie is a transparent one as well. I just thought that it was due to his coloring. He is a normal phase dragon about 6-7 months old. Is a transparent beardie unusual or common? Lol, I dun know much about the different types and what not.

Transparents have blue around their eyes and their eyes are black. The have somewhat of a see through body!! Hence the name transparent. The only ones that are in the states are from European stock. So it is quite unlikely like you were sold one as a normal bearded dragon since these start at 400 dollars for normal transparents. It is not impossible but very unlikely!

Ah ok. Lol.. must be due to the fact Scamp is only 10 months old and is still growing and what not because yea.. he doesn't have the blue around his eyes. Lol, ah well... thanks though ^^

This dragon is WAY underweight. It needs to gain 100 grams. Its little legs are tiny and its tail base has bones jutting out. This dragons condition is just awful. I don't know about the color. It seems like more of a light deficiency problem then a morph. I have seen dragons kept in very low light and no UVB situations (through rescues) who looked very similar. The pigment is faded just the same way a person would look sort of transparent if they never went outside.

The one pictured on the Sandfire Dragon Ranch website it very pretty. For the most part though, when I see translucents, even most of the healthy ones just look kind of sickly to me. Just because of the coloring... not my cup of tea.

Hey, no problem. I know they aren't your dragons, but there is rally something wrone with that one. I have heard of the black eyed translucent dragons, but I have also seen some weird looking skin on some really sick reptiles.

You have some great looking dragons on your site. What awesome colors. Definatly nothing wrong there!
