I made a last minute trek to the Jackson / Cass county border spot, looked under that old car hood, and saw what looked like a VERY gravid black rat snake in pre-lay shed. Then just a few feet away under a piece of tin I found a VERY nice adult yellow bellied racer.
My most unique find .....a tan childs old navy hat!! 
Did you and your little one go out to this spot perhaps, and lose his hat? If so, I have it! It looks as if you guys (if it was you) had been there recently. I still saw signs of foot traffic, and the hat was still clean. Let me know if it belongs to your little guy and I'll get it to you!
