The fact that you are looking for 'cheap' Burms has me a little concerned. The cost of the snake PALES in comparison to the cost of the housing and upkeep! I am always alarmed when people are looking for 'cheap' snakes, as it would seem that they either have no idea - OR - (worse) are unconcerned of the actual cost of keeping the snake as it matures.

The second problem that was instantly obvious was that: had you been reading these forums for ANY length of time (or done any research), or had any clue as to the husbandry of these animals - you would already know where to look for price comparisons.

Sorry that you feel that way but I can tell you that I have keeping Pythons/herps since I was a kid and know how to take care of them and have the funds to do so (my vet has came and seen my husbandry conditions and said that it is the best that he has seen and he used to be the lead vet for Busch Gardens in Florida, reply if you would like his phone number) but someone helped them self to all my smaller snakes but left my 3, 15ft+ burms, while I was at work. Just looking to see what was out there and if anyone one was looking to get rid of any. You know what they say about assuming. Maybe you should ask before you offend someone. I just found this forum and am sorry that I have not done any research on this matter. Forums are here for beginners to get help and ask those "stupid" questions, and if people like you try to degrade them they will not come back or worse will make mistakes. This is my first post and it seems to be a bad experince already. Yes there is some people out there that sees a big snake and wants one not knowing what is required to take care of them, but you attitude when you reply don't help!

The post was in no way degrading, but I apologize if that was your interpretation of it. Since you seem to be able to use the 'Search' function so well (pertaining to your other post about me), perhaps you should look up the number of times that someone has popped into the forums just to find the cheapest snake they can find. They then proceed to purchase said snake, and after the fact will stop in from time to time just to ask questions like, "So...what should I keep my snake in now that I have it? Will it get big enough to impress my friends? Can I just feed him TV dinners and fresh vegetables? I don't like rodents and would never have one in my house..." e.t.c... Once you've read a number of them, you will see why I said what I did.

Your initial post didn't leave much room for interpretation, and perhaps if you had just posted a few of the details...such as your background with your current/previous animals, your knowledge of husbandry or just a very brief synopsis of your situation, you would have received a much better response from many more people. That said, I would highly recommend Bob Clark as a potential source for Burmese and other Pythons (from personal experiences), or you could peruse the classified ads here on Kingsnake.

BTW, if you follow the entire thread/history of the individual in question (from your other post), you will find that I was not the only one who was becoming frustrated trying to read through his various posts. You quoted me out of context (from the rest of the thread), and my post was meant in jest.

I did order snakes from Bob and received them yesterday and am very happy with them. What I was trying to imply was that you should try to find out and maybe ask questions yourself to find out what is going on and the whole situation before you reply. What I got from your message is that just because I was looking for a "cheap" snake (which can be taking many ways but I was looking for the lowest price for a good quality snake.) is that I have no clue what I am doing.
