Or is it a thousand dollar hi yellow??????.........

I hope there are some of those special $65 balls at Daytona!!!!!!!!

jyohe Jun 06, 2004 01:15 PM

Daytona is all people that think they are "big boys" and they actually don't drop prices...I think they actually raise prices...

they have all the snakes on the table at their list prices....

which is usually double what they will actually sell them for if you are their "friend" or have stuff on your lips......(ok..maybe not double ....but alot more than they will actually part with them for....if you stick the cash in thier faces)...

....shop around .....

before Daytona.......

trust me.....................

I've been around longer than you are aware of........know all about Daytona too.

I've never been but have heard the same thing about high prices at Daytona the last few years. Didn't it used to be a place to sell snakes (used to hear legends about last hour wheeling and dealing)? How has it come to be they way it is now? Couldn't anyone get a table or is it limited? Does FL licensing and taxes come into play? Is there a snake mafia involved? Is Chicago any different?

Not sure about taxes or mafia, but I view Daytona as a place to go and "look" but rarely "buy". I live here in Florida and most of the vendors list high prices. Now, this could just be because they know people are going to offer lower prices. But some of these vendors go crazy. If it's a good deal, it's gone Saturday. Sunday afternoon, I still see alot of animals left though.

They must raise the prices for you as I seen prices cheaper at daytona then what buddies would sell them. I saw thirteen albino balls at daytona for 1700ea, by the time I came back to bya trio from one breeder, they were gone
obviously they didnt alst long, bu you cannot get better deals than in daytona......especially sunday afternoon
