Minor tortoise infestation

The first batch is out and soaking!
The last to hatch is at the bottom right. He is still a little misshapen. They ranged in weight from 14-19 grams.

That has to be such a rush. I don't know about you but that feeling has never gone away for me. They look fantastic.

There is also some sense of relief.

I was worried that there was something lacking in my care of these tortoises. Of course breeding success is not guarantee that I'm doing everything right, but at least the animals are achieving something close to a "full" life.

And the babies are so full of energy. They bite me. They bite, push and crawl over each other. They plow into the corner and keep on pushing.

I can't wait to see the next batch pop out.
