Can too much "hanky panky" be bad?

h0mersimps0n May 13, 2003 09:24 PM

So pretty much since they've come out of their winter slumber and started eating my male has "done it" with my female at least 6 times that I've seen.

She's already laid one clutch, and he pretty much got it on with her the entire time she was gravid until I finally separated him to keep her from getting to stressed.

I'm worried all this "love making" will have some adverse effects I'm not aware of?

I just gave the cage a good cleaning, gave them a bath and put them back. I sprayed the cage and they started going at it.

Sometimes eating will trigger it, but lately its been mostly misting that gets them going.

they've been laying there slowly moving their tails with the "connection" for at least 4 minutes now too...

boy oh boy, I must have the most "active" snakes around!

When a female doesn't want to do it, she'll flee.
Keep us updated on the progress.
I guess its a "wait and see" thing.
I'd definitely separate them though, were I you.
