Whitewater report for Sat.

USNHM242 Jun 06, 2004 02:23 PM

Well guys, had a decent hunt with my herping buddy Bill last night in Whitewater canyon. The night started off fast but slowed down real quick. Thank God for Bill's good company or I would have crashed out and not found my Boa. Anyways, temps remained in the upper 70's and mid 80's throughout the night. We herped from 9pm to 1 am. Here is a report of stuff we and other collectors saw last night.
-2 Rosys (I collected only one)
-1 Lyre (my buddy collected this one)
-1 shovelnose
-1 Kingsnake(my wife collected this one)
-2 longnoses
-1 red Diamond rattler
-2 Sidewinders
-2 Gopher snakes( my partner picked up an awsome ladder tai)
Also no DOR all were active and healthy. Till next time guys best of luck.

You guys were road crusing? Where exactly is whitewater? Sounds like a good spot, we see a lot of those up here in the mojave desert, except for the lyre (which I would like to see) and the rattlesnakes.

Whitewater is located near to palm springs. Now when I say whitewater I am talking about an area about 5 min in diameter, not exactly the canyon itself always. Regardless bro, feel free to email me, maybe we can hunt it together sometime.

Nice report from Whitewater. Whitewater has such a variety of reptiles in such a small area. How about some pics sometime? I'm hoping to get out there this weekend. I need to contact Tony Lanzi and let him know.
