Hopefully in 6-8 months the male will be bred back to its mother.

Have you got photos of the parents? Do they show this trait or any unusual form at all?

You say on the web site that you would trade siblings for a coral albino or sunglow female. Surely, if these were possible hets or carrying the genes in any way, they would be worth a hell of a lot more than what a coral or sunglow is worth? If it was me, I would certainly knock the price up.

Even the normal siblings look like stunners. Nothing out of this world, but very nice.

They are beautiful though, a really nice project. That would be fantastic in a T albino form.

Thanks! We are still trying to figure out what exactly we would like to get from the siblings. We're kind of lost at this point. Also the parents have nice coloration but no reduced pattern or anything like that.

How many babies were in the litter? It's strange you only got one each year. That would suggest it is not a simple recessive, being such a low percentage. On the other hand, it won't be a co-dominant or dominant form if you've had it come about from normal looking parents.

Personally I'd hang onto all of them until next year when you hopefully prove them out. If you have to sell them during that time, I certainly wouldn't let them go for the price of a sunglow or coral. But that's just me.

It think pattern mutations are a longer term project, especially when they are recessive rather than co-dom. It should fetch a high price and keep its value for longer. I think those have huge potential, it looks stunning in normal colouration, let alone in various other colour morphs.
