Vitamin Supplements?

vardens Jun 06, 2004 02:35 PM

We are new owners of a desert phase (50/50) Cali, and we have read in a book by Ray Hunziker that the rumps of pinkies should be dipped in a supplement containing calcium and D3. Does anyone out there do this? If so, what brand do you use? I have checked out Rep-Cals brand but they suggest that you mix a vitamin product with a calcium/D3 mix. Is this for Snakes or other reptiles? Any help is appreciated.

If the pinky is healthy (or was when it died), supplementation
shouldn't be necessary. I have heard of people useing supplementation to correct slight spinal kinks in hatchlings.
