Hello all from San Antonio.

This sucks. I just typed a really long post about my trip to SA and it didn't post. So this will be an abreviated version.
Tons of green anoles all over. Various geckos after dark. Seen one FAT water snake down by the 'river walk' in downtown SA.
Went snake hunting yesterday in some trash filled gravel roads and found a TX worm snake. Couldn't get a pic because when I went to grab it it disappeared right into the dirt. They can burrow. Never seen anything like it. Since they are a fav. of corals I was hoping to see some but no luck. I did find 4-5 scorpions that I haven't ID'd yet. They were dark brown with BRIGHT orange spots randomely all over there bodies.
Tomorrow is a day just for herping so I should have some good luck in the AM and road hunting in the PM. We're going WAY out in the middle of bum-f-nowhere so I should get some good rattler pics. My goal is a TX indigo. Wish me luck.
Everything I find (unless an albino) is caught, photo'd, and released.
Just wanted to stay in touch.
Hope my female conda didn't make too much of a mess while I was gone.

LOL. An indigo will be easier for me because they cant disappear into the dirt like the worm snake.
I went out again tonight at about 7:30 PM and I can't believe it I was shut out again as far as snakes go. I was in perfect rattler country (but still in city limits). I did get some great pics of a lot of lizards. 3 geckos under one log. One skink running through the leaf litter that took me running at full speed to catch. Some amphibians. A toad that had little fringes on it like a horned lizard.
I filled up one memory card on my digicam and tomorrow I'm sure I'll fill up the next.
Of course I'm taking pics. That's the only reason I'm hunting them.
I think when I get back I'll post one pic at a time and just see how smart this forum is. I don't know the species of a lot of the lizards I run across. Lets see if anyone here does before I post the pics on 'what is it' forum. The anoles I can id (duh) but some of the various skinks and such are not my specialty.
I can't wait till tomorrow. I WILL FIND SNAKES TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not leaving till I do. lol

The big Venomous show is this weekend. I live on the Northside right outside 1604. Go South South SA, like down 281 aways and around 6 you will find all sorts of scary snakes.
