Simple is best for these frogs, O would use some coco fibre at least 2" with a water dish and some plants yo hide under is all they need.

Make sure you keep the temp. between 80-86F. Also I'd keep the humidity around 70-80%.

Any reason with the high temperature recommendation??

I found that when my temp. dropped below 80f my smaller pac-man became sick. Both seem healthier now.

The reason I asked is that ornata is documented to be able to withstand drops into the mid 60s and is native to a subtropical to mild temperate enviroment where the temp is often in the low to mid 70s F for the microhabitats this species prefers. Cranwelli I would suggest keeping in the upper 70s. There are relatively few amphibians that like to be kept in the 80s at all times. Increased metabolism means increased grwoth and can potentially lead to a shorter lifespan.

Offering a sick or ill herp a warmer spot allows it to behaviorally induce a fever if necessary which can help it fend off an infection.

Thank you for that information. I was not aware.
