Ok, it's getting crazy at my apartment now! I had seven eggs from an accidental breeding, I have 23 eggs from a planned breeding (ghost het motley to motley amel) and all the sudden, my third planned breeding laid eggs. Well, the incubator was full up from the snakes two previous egg layings, so I had to do some rearranging. Here's the question.

How late in the eggs' development is it ok to move them? Here's why i ask. COuple of years ago, I made the huge mistake of moving eggs as soon as I saw the first one pip. I'm pretty sure that killed all but four of the babies. now, the seven accidental eggs were laid April 13th, so they are really close to hatching, I'm thinkin'. If I gingerly moved them, would that kill them? I hope y'all answer no, but let me know, k? Thanks!

As long as you keep the eggs in the same position you should be ok.One of my huge blunders was moving eggs around I didnt have marked and putting them back upside down etc.Talk about killing off a few clutches.Hard lesson learned.Can you get your hands on another incubator?Or know someone with extra space in theres?

I was able to make room to fit all 20 new eggs. So, I have a total of 50. Honestly, I don't have anyone around here that's into snakes that have an incubator, so I'm glad I made room. By next year I'm gonna have to get another incubator. I'll have four females ready to breed next year, god willing. All in a two bedroom apartment! Anyone in the st. louis area wanting a corn snake, give me a month or two, and you can buy one cheap!
