so today me and a friend went on a hike and it was beautiful outside so i put the lizards out in their little travel cage on her patio. so i checked the lids right before i left and everything was secure. well we get back and i go to bring the lizards inside and the cage was open!!!!!!!!! ivan and milly were still in the cage (usually they are the first to escape)but walter segundo was missing and no where in sight. i searched frantically through the patio closet and everywhere else and finally i found him between the wall and the rosemary plant. when i picked him up he did not even try to escape and when i kissed him on the head, he smelled like rosemary. i thought he was gone forever since the one time he escaped, it was OUTSIDE. at least she lived on the second floor so i think that detered him from running.
anyway once i brought them in, walter tried to open the lid again. he somehow learned that if he slides his nails under there and jumps to hit it, he opens it. what a BAD boy!
well i leave tomorrow to drive east with the lizards and my sister's husband. wish me luck!
