maculosa or childreni ????????

ok all,
here we go i got a pair of these at on a trade at a show last month, now doing my homework with them, the female is gravid, i was looking through the barker's book, "pythons of the world", and now since i have little experience with these am not 100% on the type of snake they are, are these dark maculosa's or are they childreni's ?, any help would be greatas i am expecting babies and would like to sell them as what they rightfully are,

Definately maculosa. Childreni are faded as adults and don't have that bold of a pattern as juveniles. Check out my website for pics of a childreni and you can see for yourself.

Well, there is just one little problem there!!!

Since there are no "new" animals coming out of Australia, crossbreeding is very common!! Hybrids I think it is called in english!!

So unless you get a DNA testing I wouldnt sell them as purebreeds!!!

I am also the lucky owner of a pair that mostly looks like maculosa's but, I would never sell them as purebreeds.
