timing of double clutch?

kingofrain21 Jun 07, 2004 12:24 AM

last season my female laid two clutches of eggs, the first was fertilized, the second she laid all slugs. i was told that some will lay two clutches and whether or not they are fertilized really makes no difference as far as the stress that is put on the snake. my female laid her first clutch about 2 weeks ago. when do i introduce the male again to prevent a second clutch of all slugs?

Try giving her 3 weeks full of feeding. I had my corns lay their second clutches very near to the time their first clutches were hatching. I think; wait for a month after the first clutch is laid. Just my observation.

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful. Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful.

I've read that you should introduce a male ASAP after the first clutch. That's what I'm planning on doing with mine.

Just make sure she has held down at least 1 meal though, just to get a little weight on her.
