Incubation question

Troll Jun 07, 2004 01:09 AM

I have 34 panther chameleon eggs sitting in the incubator at the moment, their inside sealed deli containers in vermiculite. Question is, do I need to poke air holes in the dishes or is it better to leave them sealed? I got all the temps and seasonal changes down as needed, just not sure on the air supply. Thanks.

I keep mine sealed completely, then every 2-3 weeks I give them some air exchange. I also check the weight of the container to see if any water has evaporated, and add as needed. You could also poke a few small holes, you just need to make sure you check the mmore often to make sure you aren't losing water too fast.
