Heat For Corns ?

FRoSTByTe Jun 07, 2004 04:45 AM

I was told that corn snakes can do without a heat source . Is this true ? I have had a smaller corn for about 3-4 weeks with No heat pad or lamps and eats and acts fine. It takes a pinkie 1-2x a week and doesnt seem to be having any problems. Thanks

I have a reptile room and I have no heat lamp or pad on my cages. So far they havent had any problems. Just make sure the cage is warm enough for them.

Corns need heat.... this doesn't have to come from lamps or heat pads it just needs to come from somewhere, like a heated room or whatever. However you can get the temps into the low to mid 80's you'll be fine!

What temp do you keep your reptile room at and do you drop temp at night?
