I am stunned and confused...

I begun my tank maintence this morning, only to find that one of my smaller geckos was dead. Now this had to have happened yesterday or last night as she ate just Saturday evening. I have only had this happen one other time to me, and I believe that was from impaction. She was housed alone, on repticarpet. Has been eating normally and acting fine. It almost looked like she got stuck between the tank wall and her water dish. Her vent looks like dried blood is coming out of it.. any ideas what might have happened? All her previous stools have been normal...

I'm really sorry about that.. not really sure what could have caused it, doesn't seem like it could have been impaction, at least not caused by the substrate.

Could something have fallen over and on top of your gecko? You said it was stuck, jus thinking maybe something moved and the weight caused internal injuries........

Sorry to hear about the loss......
