Alot of people invested alot of money into these suppossed hets and last year several of these suppossed 100% hets were bred together and guess what????
NOTHING NORMAL HOGNOSES! I have pics that I was sent from the suppossed breeder who is impossible to get a hold of now! He sent them to me in the mail very hard to see, very poor quality and obviously doctored. Word of advise stay away! You would think if someone actually did have one that they woulkd invest in either good camera equiotment or a proffessional photographer!
So the pictures he sent you were supposedly of the actual pied hognose? If we are talking of the same person he is impossible to get ahold of I sent him numerous e-mails and nothing probably since I asked him to e-mail me some pics.
I bought a pair of "het. pieds" from Terry Lilley and a pair from Phil out of Oklahoma 2 years ago. The pair from Terry dropped 20 eggs that will hatch in 3 weeks. Others that bought from Phil produced NO PIEDS last year. Strange thing is Terry still advertises 1.2 het pieds available on his web page, only time will tell but believe me I don't have my hopes up high on this project. Phil has dropped off the face of the earth, I know of some local people in his town that asked to see the animal and he refused for a year and then said he no longer had the animal. End of story.
Terry Lilly is the one that would never return my e-mails. I guess that's a good thing now. I hope you do produce some pied hogs and didn't just drop $1500 on reg hogs even though they are very nice looking snakes regardless. Let us know what comes out of that clutch.
I think Phils "company name" was silver city or something along that line but I don't remember. I know his e-mail address was something that dealt with horses!
