how good are they and is that one year warantee true?

I think they are the best, and yes, they will send you a new bulb if yours dies in under a year.

In my opinion a reptisun 5.0 would be a much better choice.I had a powersun and it blew out in 3 months.....thats 4 replacements in a year which I think is a hassle.However if you have a large arboreal cage then powersun is the choice but for a 40-70 gallon bearded enclosure i recommend a reptisun 5.0.
