which acrylic spray is nontoxic for dragons?

Cee4 Jun 07, 2004 02:28 PM

I have a beautiful piece of driftwood that they use for a basking spot but its a major pain to clean each time they poop. If I could coat it with something it would be alot easier to keep clean..So what should I use that wont make them sick? Thanks

This is like the third time Ive posted questions that have been ignored. Whats the problem? Is it because Im not a breeder? Im feeling a bit slighted..I guess I should find a more friendly board elsewhere.....Thanks for the help...

I also did a search on your posts and every post you've made that came up had multiple responses to it. Maybe you were in a different forum?

What were your other questions regarding? Maybe they were just accidentally missed.

any good wood sealer or finish can be used to seal the driftwood. However, I would let it air dry outside or in a well ventilated area (away from your dragon) for a couple days to ensure it is completely dry and all the fumes have dissipated.

before varishing the driftwood though, since you did mention he has pooped on it, I would throughoutly disinfect it first and let it completely dry. This way, harmful bacteria won't get trapped within the wood to breed.
