Genetics of leucistic Southern Pinesnakes

rearfang Jun 07, 2004 02:43 PM

I recently bought a beautiful snake that was sold under the label of Leus. Southern Pine.

One look at the nose was enough to tell me there is something besides Southerns in this snakes makeup. What is the cross?

Not dure what you are referring to as far as the nose scale. But there is a strain of leucistic southerns that are an offshoot of Mark Bells breeding efforts. In his strain he has produced patternless, pink patternless and leucistics. Which to me are leucistic's in the traditonal sense as being a solid white animal with black eyes. Post a close up of your animal's head if you can. Here is a picture of a normal from wild caught parents if that helps.
