How to Make A Humidity Hide - Urgent

ZeroX Jun 07, 2004 04:12 PM

I've had my Xeero for a little over a week now. His whole body is whitish and his usual colors of brown, gold, tan, and black are dull. I know that he is going to shed.

Bad thing is, is that I DON'T have a humidity hide to aid shedding. (Please don't chew me out!) Is there a way to make one cheap out of household items? Any tips that will aid shedding? I don't want any old skin still clinging to him!

Please reply soon. I estimate his shedding to take place in a few days and I have no time to go to the petstore and buy him a nice hide and moss!

I use the cheap ziplock disposable plastic "dishes" from the dollar store. I cut a hole in the side & put moist coco bedding in it. You could get away with using moistened paper towels.

That is exactley what I do.
I also use cypress mulch. It holds humidity very well.

Hi. I think the quickest and cheapest way to go about doing this would be to use and old empty margerine container and paper towels.

You've gotta have an empty creamcheese container, or rubbermaid somewhere, and if you dont, you can go to Publix or whatever and get one of those 'sandwich savers' (come in pretty cheap 5 packs). And use cut of paper towels, and moisten them.

Quick, easy and cheap, what more could you ask for? lol

Place your leo in a large container (one that it has enough room to walk around) that has several layers of wet paper towels for 1-2 hours.
