I was thinking of getting some Tremper Giants. I wanted to ask those of you who have been working with the Giants, is this a truly genetic trait, what morphs do you see comming in the near furture and where do you see the Giant market heading.

I'm not really sure how to answer your questions, as far as what I've understood, they aren't going to go down in value anytime soon because he is still working on bigger ones, I just purchased 2 giants from him and they are both growing. I bought 4-6 inch ones and my male just went through his first shed. He is very linky looking and very very light sensitive (albino) and my female is a normal giant het for albino. If I find out anything new I'll keep you posted. Once I get a picture on here I'll post one of my male. I've only had them since May 15.

Well, I for one find it a very exciting development! Ron has stated clearly that is a standard recessive trait, passed on in the usual fashion. He does admit that the end results can be influenced by diet, care, etc. Makes sense, you must feed anything properly to get the maximum growth out of it, be it dog, horse or gecko. Baby Giants are pretty obvious, being longer and lankier looking than typical geckos and while my original specimens from Ron didn't grow very well, these are taking off like rockets.
We've already produced several Normal and Albino Giants, triple hets for Giant Blazing Blizzard and triple hets for Giant Patternless Albino. Forgot to cross them to the Carrotail lines this year, but next year for sure...
