This is scary. Not because some poor guy dies and his lizards got hungry though. In DE you can only have a pet reptile if you live on a lot of 2 acres or greater! WOW and I thought Mass had some strict and scewy reptile laws. I'd turn in my grandmother if I thought she was harming a threatened population but these laws are just STUPID.

This is why many herpetoculturalists are asking keepers not to bring their reptiles to public parks and other places like dogs. It's spotting the animals that causes fear and then complaints and laws.
Bottom line is what they don't know won't hurt US....
good god. their first reaction was that the lizards ate him. the dude probably had a stroke or heartattack and dropped dead, thats when the free-roamers found him. *rolls eyes* nice, reaaaaally nice.
still, a terrible way to be found, being eaten by your own beloved pets.

i forgot who found out. the guy did die, but the lizards weren't eating him. they were just there. what i heard :/ first read that in the Monitor Forum around 6-7months ago.

Yeah this kind of stuff happens, there has been more then a few owners eaten by their pets. What gets me is when it's done by lizards the media is all over it. I'm surprised you haven't seen it earlier, it was a huge story. Some of the articles are even suggestive that reptiles shouldn't be kept as pets : /, no one would suggest that with dogs.
>>>BERLIN (Reuters) - A hungry dog ate part of his owner after the man died in his apartment and was not found for several days, police said Tuesday.
"It's not an unusual case," said police spokesman Robert Scholten in the former German capital Bonn. "These things happen when people live and die alone."
The St Bernard was later brought to a dog pound.

They should have let the lizards finish the job...sure beats embalming, and all the things they do to you to make you presentable for your loved ones. Then plant you six feet under with an expiration date of 2,000 years from now.
