I know very little about them but have kept eastern and western hogs. Any info or breeder recommendations appreciated!

Good luck finding a breeder. There are a few out there, but they haven't been bred enough yet to have a steady following. Getting them to feed is always the toughest part, as even juvi's don't tend to eat amphibians like most hogs, but prefer lizards, and will sometimes not convert, though it seems like more people are having better luck with them. Conrad,
I have found the hatchlings to be fairly readibly availible, and for a modest cost (under $350) it's more a matter of raising a finicky animal that may or may not live, let alone eventaully breed that concerns me. I can't find a care sheet anywhere on the net. Any advice or help appreciated.
I recently obtained two females each about 16" (source unknown. I placed them on cypress mulch and kept the temp in the low 80's to upper 70's. I misted daily. Both females at first refused any food except anoles, but in less than a month, the first took to eating fuzzies that were placed in front of her (live). The second took about a month longer. They continue to grow and feed activly on a diet of one fuzzy every two weeks. Frank
