I sure don't know but would love to. Please post when you learn something. I would recommend a vet check meantime.

I would take him to a vet too , but if you can take a pic and post it on here so we can see it visually mayby some on else has had but would need to see a pic to verify it , also if we see it and you find out what it is from a vet or so forth it can educate all of us. Thanks Paul
I have no personally observed info for you, but check out this link. You didn't describe the bugs. Are they insect looking, or worm/maggot looking? Flies lay eggs in wounds or dead/decaying skin. What area of the world do you live in?

about two years ago I had little white bugs on some sand boas of mine. They look like mites but about a quarter of the size and white (about the size of a pin head with (I think) six legs). I don't know what they are. After multable attemps to get rid of them by bathing the snakes and cleaning the cages with bleach. I finally tried a flea collar and it worked. I went to walmart and spent $.99 on a flea collar. I set the collar OUTSIDE of the cage and with in 4 days they were completely gone. Now I have flea collars placed in verious spots around my reptile room. Oh I found they also work well with mites as well. I have not had any infestations since then. Hope this helps. Lee
