Florida Laws...

JohnZ Jun 08, 2004 05:09 PM

I am moving to Florida in 12 days and have 31 Balls that are coming with me. What i want to know(if someone can help) is, are their laws or regulations that wll keep me from having Balls or breeding them?

Are there any counties that do not allow them? Or is all of Florida Ok to raise and breed Balls? Thanks... John

if you plan on selling them you need a license from the state for 11 or more animals, its 50.00 bucks, renew each year
if for epts, you dont need it, but with that amount of nimals you plan on breeding and selling the babies so you need to get the permit from the state game office.

I'm sick of Michigan weather and wish I could move. Good luck John. I actually just came back from San Diego from a job search. It's horrible with the job market there, it seems like a college degree is worthless. I just graduated from U of M with an MIS degree and it seems that the only jobs offered in florida and California are skilled labor ones. Dave

Check the area you are moving to. There are areas with local zoning restrictions. In most cases, it's not an issue. I am licensed and can legally possess reptiles in my area, however, I had a neighbor with a small dog that was concerned about a rather large snake I had that would bask on my lawn while I cleaned his cage.
