Help! My baby just ate peat moss!!!

loki16 Jun 08, 2004 05:45 PM

well he's not really a baby hes 2.5 yr old ball python who until last week had been housed using newspaper as a substrate

i decided i wanted a more natural looking substrate so i lined the bottom of the tank with 3 inch layer of moistened peat and im very happy with the way it looks

i just realized however it was a bad idea to feed him in this setup because he just swallowed some peat with his weekly rat rat!!! Is he going to be ok ?!? thanks for any replies from the experts

Well im not an expert but I think your baby will be fine. Just some extra protien but mabe you should look through his crap to see if it comes out. If your really concered see a pet store or a vet theyll know whats up. Hope I was any help.
