stressed

i just got a new chameleon today and he is very stressed all black does anyone no any other way i could make him feel like home less stress???

There are several things you can do. Make sure the cage has a lot of hiding areas and dense foliage. Put it in a quiet area in the house with no other pets in sight. Keep your activity around the cage to a minimum. I know you want to "peek" at your new cham and are anxious about it, but the more you bother it the more stress. Once you set up the cage leave it alone unless there is a major problem. Leave re-arranging things for a later time if you can. Water, mist, and feed on a schedule so the cham can get used to a routine. Put the lights on timers so you don't have to bother him to turn things on and off.
