Great time herp hunting.

I had a great time this weekend herp hunting. It started out slow and I was beginning to think there were no more wild snakes left. Then on the last day, in San Angelo state park, I caught a rattlesnake and a texas horned lizard within about 5 mins. of each other. I still haven't id'd the rattler. It looks like a mojave but was found a ways east of their texas range. It had black bands on the tail like a diamondback but no diamond pattern on its body.
I found scorpions, horned lizards, rattlesnakes, watersnakes, unknown lizards(skinks and geckos), green anoles, frogs and toads, garter snakes, and even chased an armadillo but only ended up with dirt.
When I got home the female conda had made a mess but it wasn't too bad.
I cannot post the link to my pics here but if you email me, arikbeal@hotmail.com, I'll send it too ya.
Oh yeah I also caught a nasty case of poison ivy.lol

I would trade this poison ivy for the plague right now. lol Yeah and I hear that they have a nasty bite too. They sure can run though.
