well i moved spike in to my room cause the garage was way too ht and now i'm haveing one heck of a time getting his temps right...i have a 50watt halogen that if i put right over the basking spot gets to like 110 and if i back it up alittle it only hits 95.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........anyways i'm gonna keep tryin different lights and setups till i get it right (btw the basking spot should be like 106 right?)

also i gave spike some crixs today to c if he would eat cause he really hasn't been eatin recently and he jumped right after them. i dunno if its the move into my room or the new temps or maybe just a change in diet but he seems to be a little happier. i hope i can get him back to his happy healthy self

any advice please let me know

The basking spot should be 105-115 so 110 is fine. As long as your beardie has enough of a basking spot to be able to get off to the side of the basking light heat so he can regulate his temps 110 should be okay. The key is to give him the ability to not only be directly under the basking light but also to the side where the heat may not be as intense. If you do need to adjust the temps you can buy an inline dimmer that will allow you to adjust the light/heat intensity.

Good to hear he's eating again. Definitely sounds like his conditions have improved.

Good luck!!
