I've heard this rumor numerous times in the past couple of years, seems to come up every now and then. If I remember correctly there was a large discussion and the general idea was that no, it is not possible. I'd try to find the original thread but it was a while ago and I'm too lazy =).

ONE CRUNCH IN THE JAWS OF A LEOPARD will surely kill a mealie...if not a few crunches...and once it heads into the deadly acidic digestive system of a leo u know its a goner...wonder why people start such rumors...o well...feed ur mealies in peace...

Yes, even baby leos won't have any problem eating live mealworms.

i've heard that SUPERWORMS are the ones that can eat through the stomachs of unsuspecting reptiles if you don't crush their heads first...but never the normal mealies.
Superworms can't even do it... I've fed medium to large superworms to juvenile geckos for over a year now without killing the damn worm. If you've ever been bitten by one of your leos you'll know that the jaw pressure is enough to draw blood and that the worm is usually dead by the time its swallowed...and if it isn't.. the stomach acid and lack of oxygen kill it.
