4 inch res with cyst... Info on how to remove appreciated

I aquired a small turtle from an aunt a while ago who thought it would be a cute gift. Yeah, I know it's not too smooth to buy this kind of thing for a person so.. abruptly. Especially a juvenile turtle at that, but I have a problem (aside from the sudden cost of taking care of this critter). It has recently developed a cyst on the side of its head. It appeared very suddenly, within a week, and I need to know how to remove it. My parents would never go for the cost of veterinary removal, so this is the only chance for its survival... Anybody with experience, your help is urgently needed.

You can't do it yourself, it must be done by a vet. If you don't get it treated right, it will burst and your turtle will die from the infection. It is technically an ear abcess, and while some experienced reptile people will lance it themselves, you would then need to give him a course of antibiotics to prevent infection. It is really not that expensive of a procedure, so please take him to the vet and get it done right.
