Herp locations near San Francisco?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows any good places near San Frnacisco to see some snakes in the wild, mostly kings and gophers. I usually go to the Santa Cruz mountains for my herping, but I want to see if I can still get to see some cool snakes closer to home. Thanks for any help.-Zach
