Leo has thrown up mealworms.

my leo gecko has not been eating at all for a while. he wont eat the crickets i give him. he is kinnda mentally retarded and really skitterish. when i bought mealworms to fatten up my leos(i have 8) i was happy to see him eat.but unfortunately he has thown them up. why is this. please help

considered taking it to the vet? Have you had a fecal done to rule out parasites? If this was my gecko I would have it in a seperate enclosure, check the enclosures temps to ensure it is warm enough, take some of its fresh poop to the vet for a fecal exam. Getting that accomplishied will give you a better idea of what to do.

I have had geckos toss their cookies when eating mealworms but in both cases it was more of an over-eating issue.

What type of substrate do you have him on or was he on before you got him? I have had people bring inpacted geckos to me that will eat but throw the food back up since they are full with sand or what ever substrate they were on. Just an idea.
