How Often?

SlipKorn Jun 09, 2004 03:01 AM

I am new to Hognose Snakes. I have a pair of Western Hognose snakes. They are both about 14 inches long and feeding on large fuzzies. I was just wondering how often I should feed them. They eat one fuzzie a piece each feed. Thanks.....

Sounds like they are hatchlings? Same as any other hatchling CB snake every 5-7 days. Some people like to feed hatchlings every 3 days and if they will eat every 3 days I don't see anything wrong with it until they get about a year old then I would start treating them like an adult and feed once every 7 days.

Yeah, I'd feed them at least every 7 days while it's summer, because they usually don't eat so well in the winter.
