I know Texas horned lizards are protected but i couldn't resist a quick pic. It was released immediately afterwards.

Do you also see many adults? It seems all you hear from Texas is how they are disappearing.

I showed the pic to someone at work and she said there a so many around her place that they sometimes get stepped on. I am not sure if the ones she encounters are Texas HL's but I plan on finding out. lol

Actually last I heard they were doing a bit better than they have been doing in recent years in terms of numbers. I have noticed more of the Harvester Ant mounds appearing. I dont know if this means that they are becoming more common. We saw quite a few on the Pandale Rd in Val Verde a few weeks ago, so maybe things are looking good for these guys.
