HELP WITH ID OF FROG!!!!!

elcheal Jun 09, 2004 09:04 AM

I currently have six tadpoles and one frog(of the same species). I found them in a pond in connecticut. I live in a completely different place than they were found in. I'm afraid that if i let them go when they are frogs then they will just die becaues their habitat will be so much different than wht they are used to. What should i feed the frog? Where can i get food for the frog? They are really small, common in the pond that they were found in and are only about 1/4 of an inch long. They have almost no pattern at all, almost completely black. If anyone can hlep me and give me info please do. thanks

Try feeding fruit flies or pinhead crickets, both of which are readily available at pet stores. As for species, I can't help you there as many species are small and dark when froglets or tadpoles. Search the forum and you should be able to find a link to a tadpole identification key.

And the sign says "No long hair freaky people need not apply." So I put my hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why. He said you look like a fine outstanding young man I think you'll do. So I took off my hat I said "Imagine that Huh Me working for you."-Tesla
