Pic of the White Sided SPECKLED King

Here she is, my pride and joy. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the first group of these snakes in 03. I have this girl and a few definite and possible hets. I need to get some better pics, but she is stunning to behold in person. This is not a cross or hybrid. The original snake came from an area where there are no intergrades. Enjoy! Tom

Hi,
That thing is awesome looking. By far my favorite looking getula morph out there now. I just hope it shows up in some other lampropeltis soon, a white-sided alterna would be incredible looking. Keep this firum updated with pics and how the project is going. thanks for that pic.

Where'd she come from? Also, does she have the typical holbrooki attitude? Awesome snake, good luck with it!

You're probably going to laugh but I have only picked up the W.S. 3 times since i had it, and it's been a few months now. It is like my sacred snake that I leave alone as much as possible. She is not too bad, however 2 of the hets are ravenous and thier feeding response is out of hand. They bite like crazy, but I don't handle them much at all either. I had a Speck when I was a kid that would assume the position for strike after strike anytime I messed with him, and so far these aren't like that. My 'Thanks" post above says I am going to ask the guy who produced this to tell the story of its origin. It is very interesting. I will try n get more pics soon Tom

of these snakes to post the story of them on here because it is interesting to say the least. Terry Vandeventer is the guy who is producing these snakes and I would prefer him to write about them so I don't misinform anyone about the origin of this little beauty. Mine are 03s and are growing fast, not as fast as my 03 Brooksi but fast. I am also feeding them a little less due to fear of regurge, my Brooksi never seem to barf[which is a great thing!]. I will try to get some more pics soon. Thanks again Tom

Thats an unusual pattern but must say great looking snake rich white and awesome flecks. I am fairly new to kingsnake.com but never saw a pattern like that.
