Hi,
About a month ago I met up with Jerry hartley for some herping. We were hoping to see some rosys where we were at but none. temps were a little cold too. But we did see this neat looking leaf nosed snake.....

Hi,
This is one of the biggest shovel-nose snakes I've seen. Well over a foot and was fiesty too.Besides a big glossy-(that we thought was a rosy, it was so dark) these were the only snakes that night.We were only there from a little after 8pm to about 11pm.

That is a nice animal. I also hunt in the mojave desert, western portion. I found a shovel nose once but no leaf nose. Where about were you hunting? I know it cant be here cause we also have no rosies, we have to go to cali city to see them.

Hi,
I was close to coso junction, off the 395, actually not even sure if thats northen mojave or not..?, its north for me from my place though.

Mohave/Mojave are both correct spellings for the indian tribe. The desert you are referring to is spelled with a "j".
