would an indoor device be damaged by regular direct misting? do you use the indoor kind or the outdoor kind in your enclosure?
I have one of these also, and I leave the actual device outside of the cage where it doesn't get hit with all the water. I leave the probe inside at the basking area - works pretty well except the sensor doesn't read humidity -only the device itself.

I use athe acu-rite temp & humidity guage I buy from wal-mart for like 14.00. It's great, I shorten the outside sensor to reach the bottom of the cage, and attach the case at the top. This gives me a temp grade from top to bottom reading, and a upper humidity guage. They stand up great to frequent mistings, altho the do say "MAX" until it starts to evaporate, then reads correct, but have seen no problems at all, and usually buy them 6 at a time.
