As a long time lurker of this forum, I wanted to share this with you...(mostly because my wife doesn't get it or care):
As far as I've been able to verify, these little guys are among the first Kei Island Blue Tongue Skinks bred and born in captivity. Two years after acquiring a group of four skinks, the largest female gave birth; she bred the second season after receiving her.
Since I didn't witness the copulation, only the aftermath, I have to guess as to which of the males is the father. Most likely it was my more aggressive male since he showed the most interest in chasing her around the tank. It's an amazing thing to see the young, so active and hungry grow right before your eyes. I was a little surprised to see that the juvenile colors of the Kei skinks look like your "standard" T.g.gigas, and fully expected to see the Kei colors right at birth. Does anyone know at what age Tiliqua in general loose their juvenile colors and inherit their adult coloration?
Thanks, Greg

Just dont have a skink as of yet.
