What is the proper cage size for a 3 1/2 foot california kingsnake that loves to run around, climb his walls, dig and push his nose against the glass? Also, should I be concerned about him getting mouth rot or some other infection from constantly pushing on the glass with his face? Thanks....

I’d say a 40gl. Or 4x2xw would be suitable.
Also, should I be concerned about him getting mouth rot or some other infection from constantly pushing on the glass with his face?
Mouth rot usually occurs with screens not as much as glass. I’ve never had this problem using screen cages. But why is he doing this? Hunger?
